Medical Clinic
At Schiffert Health Center, a team of medical professionals – including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses – provides primary care medicine to students. Our aim is to provide patients with a broad spectrum of care that is both preventative and curative. Services include care for acute illnesses and injuries as well as more chronic conditions. Laboratory tests and X-rays can be done at Schiffert Health Center for a fee, and referrals for specialty care can be made when necessary.
Emergency and After Hours Care
In the event of a medical emergency or life-threatening condition, call 911. If you need non-emergency medical care after hours, call the Schiffert Health Center Advice Nurse at 540-231-6444. The nurse will direct you in self-care, resources for community clinics, and/or to the local hospital emergency room.
Appointments
Schiffert Health Center maintains an appointments-only system. Students may make appointments online or by phone. Appointments and student health information cannot be requested through email.
