Flu Shot & COVID-19 Booster Clinic
Schiffert Health Center will host the Walk-In Flu Shot Clinic on October 4, 2024 in the Graduate Life Center’s Multipurpose Room, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Flu vaccine will be provided by our partner Blacksburg Pharmacy. Only injectable vaccine options will be available. The clinic is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
- Trivalent flu vaccine and high-dose vaccine (for those 65 years and older) will be available.
- The COVID-19 booster will also be available. The out-of-pocket cost is $145 without insurance.
- Students under the age of 18 must have their vaccine immunization form (located in the sidebar of this page) signed by a parent or guardian in order to receive the flu vaccination.
- Individuals who feel sick or are experiencing symptoms of influenza or COVID-19 should not attend the event.
Blacksburg Pharmacy will be accepting U.S. insurance carriers. Attendees are responsible for checking that the flu shot will be covered by their insurance plan. Kaiser Permanente and out-of-state insurance providers may have coverage restrictions. Please have your insurance card ready at check-in. Those without insurance, can pay out-of-pocket - $35 for the quadrivalent vaccine or $75 for the high-dose vaccine. Only cash or credit card will be accepted.
